GRIEF
When someone we love dies, the world falls still.
And yet it does not.
It keeps turning, impossibly fast, carrying us forward when all we want is to remain in that one suspended moment. Nothing stays — not even the instant when the world ceased to be what it once was.
Grief wears many colours. It speaks in sounds, lingers in scents. It rises and recedes like the tide, touching each of us in its own mysterious way.
How do we dwell with grief?
How do we walk beside it,
welcome it,
make room for it,
and, when the time comes,
let it drift onward?
How does healing take root?
How does peace return?
My grief travels through images.
In them, I find a way to hold on,
and a way to release.
They are fragments of time and place,
threads that still connect me to you.
Mom, these moments, these images, are for you. You live in my heart. Always.
Tu n‘es plus là où tu étais,
mais tu es partout là où je suis.
